Lucy Collier, 77, of Trent, passed away on April 3rd, 2025 in Abilene Texas under the care of Hendrick Hospice.
Lucy Collier was born Dobson, North Carolina to Mildred Marie Reagan and Roby Whitaker on December 8, 1947. She went to elementary school at Lawn junior high at Jim Ned and some high school at Cooper High. She married Willie Olen Collier on March 4, 1967 in Abilene Texas. She worked as a waitress for Lavendars for several years and then began her life as a homemaker.
Lucy was preceded in death by: grandparents William and Velma Knight, her parents: Mildred Reagan and Roby Whitaker, brother: Cody Claxton, nephews: David Claxton, John and Jeremy Claxton.
Lucy is survived by spouse Willie Collier; daughters Tammy Bynum (Steven) and Sandy Watson (Danny); brothers Dewitt Whitaker, Thomas Claxton, James Claxton; sisters, Velma Hollis, Ruby Dupree, Mary Ryan; grandchildren Daniel Watson (Tarin), Jessica DeLaCruz (Marcus), Casandra Dennis (Matt), Bridget Watson, and Willie DeLaCruz(Mayme) and great-grandchildren Kameron and Kylen Watson, and Watson Baby, Granger, Willow, Isabella Moore, Onyx “Buttons” Dennis, DeLaCruz Baby; sister-in-laws Glenda Collier, Bessie Hellums and many extended family nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be: Jerry Vinson, Doug Collier, Daniel Watson, Matthew Dennis, Willie DeLaCruz, Marcus Manley, Corey Carriker and CW Lemay.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Danny Watson, Steven Bynum, Audie Miller, Chris Tucker, Kameron Watson, Kylen Watson, Onyx Dennis, Delacruz Baby and Watson Baby.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at Trent Baptist Church. With burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Trent, Texas.
