Virgil Paul Warren

Virgil Paul Warren, 59, of Merkel passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2021. He was born on November 23, 1961 to Paul D. and Marilyn Gay (Jones) Warren in Abilene, Texas. Virgil had a passion for cars which led him to becoming owner of Virgil's Body Shop Virgil is preceded in death by his parents Paul & Marilyn Warren. He survived by 2 sisters: Valerie Dickens (Steve) of San Angelo TX and Vickie Ray (Sam) of Frederick CO, 3 nephews and 2 nieces. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, June 5, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Merkel TX. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Merkel HOA (Virgil Warren Fund), 123 Edwards, Merkel, Texas, 79536. Virgil loved Merkel and was proud of the ongoing efforts to revitalize the Community. This fund will be dedicated to the ongoing improvements of Merkel.
