Vickey Kay (Ables) Moreno

Vickey Kay Moreno, 69, of Abilene, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on August 17, 2022. She was born January 22, 1953 to Cleve Marion Ables and Virginia Ruth Queen.

Vickey married Joe Moreno on July 3rd, 1971. They enjoyed spending time together and going camping. She worked beside her husband at the VFW Post 5683 in Merkel, TX bartending for 30 years.

Vickey is survived by her husband, Joe; her daughter, Teresa Rodriguez; sister, Mickey Oden all of Abilene, Texas. Along with all of the friends she made while working at the VFW. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 at Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery of Abilene at 1:00 P.M.
