Tyler Scott Flores, 31, of Merkel, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Merkel, Texas.
Memorial services honoring Tyler’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 3 Crosses Cowboy Church, 4038 State Highway 351, Abilene, Texas with Pastor Greg Clemmer officiating.
Tyler was born August 7, 1992 in Abilene, Texas to Virginia Flores and Lloyd “Tad” Williams, Jr. He graduated from Merkel High School in 2010 and then attended Cisco Jr. College. Tyler married Teanna LaSha’ Rose on September 27, 2014 in Breckenridge, Texas. To this union were born his two children, Tinley and Timber. He began a career in the oilfield service industry working as a relief pumper and was currently employed at Makena Sales Company, Inc. in Abilene.
Tyler had a love for being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting wild hogs with his friends, and had an appreciation of horses. He was a good hand at breaking colts and horses and liked to team rope. He was a member of the West Texas Fair & Rodeo- Rodeo Committee and was a member of 3 Crosses Cowboy Church in Abilene.
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lloyd Wayne Williams, Sr.; Aunt and Uncle, Theresa and Jose Gonzales; two cousins, Chelsea Rea’ Flores and Jonathan Cuellar.
Surviving Tyler is his wife, Teanna LaSha’ Flores, daughter, Tinley Rea’ Flores, son, Timber Scott Flores, all of Abilene; Mother, Virginia Flores of Merkel; Father, Lloyd “Tad” Williams, Jr. of Merkel; Sister, Taylor Faulks (Trace) and their children, Riggin, Hudson, Zach, all of Hawley; Sister, Jennifer “J.T” Williams of Trent, and children Nicole Marcee (Cade Palmer) and their son Grayson Palmer of Trent, Vanessa Marcee (Richard Fomby) and their children Truman and Reagan Fomby of Noodle, Bryson Agerton of Trent; Paternal grandmother, Patsy Williams of Merkel, Maternal grandparents, Robert Flores and Veronica Flores of Merkel; Father and Mother in law, Ronald and Regena Rose of Brownwood; Sister in law, Tiffany Rose of Tuscola and her children, Anthony Moreno (Hannah Casey), Seianna and Ceara Moreno; Brother in law Timothy Rose (Samantha) and their children Levi and Hazel Rose, all of Potosi. Tyler is also lovingly survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends.
