Obituary

Rosetta “Kay” Lane Browne, 78, of Amarillo, TX passed away Friday, May 26, 2023.

Kay was born April 6, 1945 in Syracuse, KS to Wilber “Buster” and Helen Lane. She married Ray Brown on September 29, 1973 in Clayton, NM. She worked for Toot-n-Totum for 24 years. She lived in Amarillo for 37 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilber “Buster” and Helen Lane, sister Carol Richardson, brother Davis Lane, two stepsons Charlie and Ronnie Browne, and her loving husband Ray Browne.

Kay is survived by her daughter Barbara and husband John Hiatt, and granddaughters Lindzy and Katie Hiatt of Amarillo. Two sisters: Nancy Wilkerson of Garden City, KS and Diana and husband Raymond Browne of Brownwood, brother Danny and Joyce Lane of Garden City, KS. She is also survived by four stepchildren and several nieces and nephews that she loved a lot.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 at Starbuck Chapel on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Graveside service will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, Texas.
