On Saturday, March 4 ,2023 the love of my life, Ronnie Joe Lindsey, my husband and daddy to our four wonderful people left us to walk the streets of Gold with Jesus at the age of 71.
Joe was born March 3, 1952 to V.H. (Pappy) and Mary (Granny) Lindsey in Merkel at Sadler Clinic. He went to school at Merkel and graduated from Gary Job Corps in San Marcos.
He spent several years working in the oil field and the last 30+ years as a mechanic and owner of Lindsey Diesel Service.
We were married May 20, 1991 in Spur, Texas. We gave his older two children, Chad and Tracy, two younger brothers, Willie and Jack.
Joe’s favorite things to do are spending time with his family, camping and fishing, joking around, lots of dancing, followed by more fishing and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Minnie, and his brother Whistle. Joe is survived by his wife Kimberly, son Chad Lindsey ,daughter Tracy and her husband Bill Friske, son William Lindsey and his wife Deidra and son Jack Lindsey , sisters: Karen Helms, Alice McGuire, Cindy Rogers, Judy Gibson, Janie Callas and Betty Bowen, and brothers: Tom Lindsey, Vernon Lindsey, David Lindsey, JD Lindsey and Frank Lindsey and four grandsons: Tyler Friske and wife Jessica, Mason Friske, Larry Lindsey ,Garry Lindsey and one granddaughter Tesla Lindsey one great grandson Waylon Friske and more than 100 nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is incredibly missed already. We are saying goodbye to him at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, Texas at 10 AM Thursday, March 9. The service will be officiated by Pastor Mike Hill.
Pallbearers will be: Chad Lindsey, Frank Lindsey, Willie Lindsey, Steven Lindsey, JD Lindsey, Bill Friske, Tyler Friske and many honorary. Love you Joe and we’ll see you soon.
