Robert Corwyn Walker

Robert C. Walker, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025 at the age of 72.

Robert was born to Llyod and Elizabeth Walker on September 1, 1952 in Spur, TX.

After a spirited youth, Robert landed in Merkel, TX in 1986. He worked for Taylor County Percent 2 retiring after 23 years.

He married the love of his life Brenda Walker on July 6, 1998.  Together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter.

He was the loving father to Rob Walker(Shelly), Channing Scott Walker, Cory Walker (Bailey), and Lacey Slayton (Anatasios).

Robert was also a proud grandpa to 10 amazing grandkids and 2 very special great grandkids. Robert was also a loving brother to Doyle Walker and Jan Kinnaly.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and golf.

Robert was known for his kindness, generosity, and tireless willingness to help others. His presence was a source of comfort and strength.

 With his dedication extended beyond his family and hobbies. Robert was an integral part of his church, serving as an elder member at Calvary Baptist Church.

 Robert bravely battled Lewy body dementia and Parkinson's disease with grace and dignity. Even as the disease progressed his loving spirit and gentle smile remained,

He was surrounded by the love and support of his family, who cared for him with unwavering love and devotion.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2025 at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel in Merkel, Tx. Services for Robert will be held 10am Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church in Merkel, TX. Graveside to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
