Robert Lee Roys

Robert “Bob” Lee Roys, 90, of Tye passed away peacefully in the evening hours of Thursday, January 5, 2023. He was born in Caldwell, Texas to Robert Earl and Annie (Gonzalas) Roys on September 26, 1932. Bob served his country honorably for 20 years in the United States Air Force before his retirement in 1972. After his active service he was employed by several organizations in janitorial positions. Bob is survived by his wife Billie Roys of Tye; children Gerald Knight and wife Saundra of Oklahoma, Travis Roys of Washington, Burt Roys of Kentucky, Aaron Sheppard and wife Novia of Plano, Gary McKillip and wife Elaina of Winter, and Lori Parker and husband Matt of Oklahoma; sister Betty Coleman of Abilene; niece BJ Smith of Merkel; grandchildren Cade Parker, Ashley Costa, Jordan Parker, Morgan, Parker, Bonnie McKillip, Mason McKillip, Sarah McKillip, Slater Gonzales, Landon McKillip, Kaitlin McKillip, Avery McKillip, Layla McKillip, Jade Nolan, Brooklyn Roys and Jeffrey Roys; father-in-law Billy Ray Young of Tulsa and mother-in-law Audra Sheppard of Abilene. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert Earl and Annie; his brother Aury Roys, and his daughter Betsy Ann Crispin. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00PM Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Starbuck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Starbuck Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Tye Cemetery.
