Milton P Harber

Milton Preston Harber, 82, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 in Abilene.

Milton was born in Beaumont, Texas to Wallace Preston (Pete) and Viola Ruth Harber on November 29,1942. He graduated from Santa Ana Valley High School. He married the love of his life Charlotte Hood on April 4th, 1964 in Santa Ana, California.

Milton worked as a floor mechanic for various companies throughout his career. He also owned his own business for many years. He loved his work but his passion was coaching. He coached not only his boys but numerous kids most of his adult life. He loved making a difference in their lives.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Ruth Harber and by his wife Charlotte. He is survived by his three boys, Jimmy Harber and wife Nicole, Larry Harber and Jeffrey Harber. Grandchildren Raymond Harber and Sierra Gutierrez. Great-grandchildren Andrew Joseph Gutierrez and Jonathan Cruz Gutierrez. He is also survived by his sister Judy Carey of Oregon and his brother-in-law Bobby Hood of Abilene, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
