Michael "Mike" Raymond Dokey

Michael Raymond Dokey, 57, of Merkel, passed away on Tuesday, May the 12th of 2026 in Merkel Texas.

Michael was born in Abilene, Texas to Laverl and Malvin Dokey on July 21st of 1968. He went to school at Texas school for the deaf in Austin. He was married to Tina on August the 4th in 2000. He worked in the oil field as a derrick hand for about 38 years.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Laverl and Malvin Dokey, his brother Lynn Dokey, his sisters Ruby and Theresa and his grandson Kaysen. Michael is survived by his wife Tina, his daughter Brittany and her husband Ryan Williams and their children Kimberlee, Christian, Wesley and Audree. His daughter Casey Phariss and her children Nevaeh and Angel. His Son Tommy and his wife Rylee Gann and children Tate and Hallee. His Daughter Clara and husband Rolando Castenda and their children MaeLeigh, Maesyn and Madden. His sister Lisa Dokey and partner Donna, brother Jimmy Dokey and wife Jane, along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial will be held on May 23rd at 10am located at Salt Branch Cowboy Church in Merkel, Texas.
