Mary Lonelle McElmurray Teaff (Nana), 90, peacefully left her earthly home in to the arms of Jesus on February 1, 2022, with her loving family at her bedside. Lonelle was born on January 4, 1932 at White Flat to Alonzo and Elsie McElmurray. She graduated from Trent High School. She married Andy Merle Beasley on January 15, 1949. He passed away on June 25, 1954. After his death, she worked at West Texas Utility where she met the love of her life, Glenn Teaff. They were married on February 7, 1958.
The center of Lonelle’s life was God, her family, her friends and her community. With the heart of Jesus she touched countless lives throughout her community, serving others, and she was loved by all. Lonelle was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, serving in various positions. She worked for Max Murrell Chevrolet until she retired in May 1991.
Lonelle is survived by her loving husband, Glenn; son Tim Beasley and his wife JaNell, son Lon Beasley and his wife Renate, and daughter, Jan Barnhart and her husband Tex; nine grandchildren, Jamie Ayers, Joni Moss, Cory Barnhart, Jana Morse, Cristi Nava, Emily Zwaicher, Brandon Meltz, Barrett Meltz and Bailey Hyde; 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom all adored her; Sister-in-law Sylvia Beasley and her loving caretaker Annie Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mildred Snow and Merle Anderson; brothers Clovis McElmurray and Max McElmurray; grandson Keith Beasley.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Starbuck Funeral from 5-7 PM. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2:00 at First Baptist Church in Merkel. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Merkel, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Lonelle’s honor to First Baptist Church of Merkel, Texas.
