Obituary
Mary Faye (Lipham) Stanley of Merkel, Texas passed away Monday, June 19, 2023. She was born to Leslie and Jewel (Tedford) Lipham on May 31, 1929 in Truby, Texas.
Mary worked as a bookkeeper, statistician, and a rancher’s wife at Compere and Noodle. She was a member of the John David Chapter of DAR and the Merkel Historical Society.
She is preceded by her husband of 55 years, Vernon Stanley; her parents: Leslie and Jewel Lipham; her siblings: Leslie Lipham Jr., Billie Lipham, Laverne Barnes, and Curtis Lipham; and two nephews: Barry Lipham and Darrel Barnes.
Mary is survived by her son: Stacy Stanley and wife Debbie, one grandson Duncan Stanley and wife Brecka.
Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at Starbuck Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at Starbuck Chapel with Lou David Allen officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Cherokee Home for Children, Lubbock Christian Home for Children, the Merkel Church of Christ Tuesday and Thursday School, or your favorite charity.
