Marie (Schultz) Goode, age 78, passed on October, 3rd 2021, at her residence in Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Merkel, Texas, with Pastor Lance Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery under the direction of Starbuck Funeral Home.
Marie was born to Bulah and Earl Schultz in Trent, TX on October 21, 1942. She grew up in Merkel and attended Merkel Schools and Hardin-Simmons University. Marie was a nurse and worked for a local agency. She was a pianist for Holiness Highway House of Prayer for over 5 years. She also taught Sunday school and was the pianist for other area churches.
Her happiness came from those she loved, her son, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her desire was to have had an influence her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s lives. In addition, she loved many friends and her family.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Bulah Schultz; brothers: Harvey Schultz, Doris Schultz and Roy Schultz and sistesr: Viola Hudson, Audrey Jackson and Faye Warren.
She is survived by her son: Michael Jordan of Clyde; two grandsons: Skylar Jordan of Abilene, and Kelby Jordan of Clyde; two great grandchildren Kade Jordan of Eastland and Azlynn Jordan of Abilene; several nieces: Linda Larsen of Clyde, Jennifer Jackson of Abilene, and Linda Jackson Austin Sharon Bagby of Trent, Karen Tucker of Abilene, and Shirley Jackson of Abilene; nephews: Eddie Warren of Odessa, Henry Warren of San Angelo, Glen Warren of New Braunfels and Stephen Schultz of Grandbury; nieces and nephews: Carol Ann Bransford of Austin, Wayne Bransford of Gorman and Randy Bransford, of Austin Becky Gann of Wyoming, Rhonda Hill of Abilene, Richard Schultz of Denton, David Schultz of Merkel; great-nieces and nephews: Shane Larson of San Antonio, Brandon Larson of Claude, and Amanda Larsen of Coppell. Sheila St John of Austin, Melinda Lane of Austin, Michael Lane of Gatesville, Miranda Munroe of Los Vegas.
