In 2008, he was featured on the cover of The Choice magazine with the Beltwide Cotton Conference. Lloyd was twice awarded the Conservation Farmer of the Year in Taylor County in 1997 and 2022. Lloyd, also referred to by family as “Sonny” and “Papal” enjoyed deer hunting with his family and grandkids, but working and driving the tractor was one of his biggest joys.
