Lala Joan Headrick Frazier, 84, of Keller, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Keller Oaks Healthcare Center in Keller, Texas.
A funeral service is planned at Starbuck Funeral Home in Merkel, Texas at 1:00pm on Monday, January 27th and the burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Lala (or Jody) was born January 9, 1941, in Hollis, Oklahoma to J.M. and Ruby Headrick. She attended Hollis Schools in Hollis, Oklahoma.
She married Donald Frazier in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 31, 1960. Among Don’s list of unique jobs was as a long-haul truck driver and they both laughed and said that his long trips were sometimes a good vacation and sometimes a bad separation for both of them. She was a strong pharmacy assistant and that was both an enjoyment and a wonderful use of her talents and skills.
She is survived by her two sons, Johnny and Michael of Burleson, Texas, and one sister, Barbara Hammond and husband, David of Ozark, Missouri and sister-in-law Nancy Shipp of Duncanville, Texas.
She was so happy being Gran Gran to her grandchildren (Brandon, Lacy, Dustin, and Wendy) and great grandchildren (Logan, Emma, Spirit, Tyler, Lacy, Xaiden, Zoe, Jaylen, Gage, J.J., Denise, and Erin) and her nieces and nephews (Dava, Jason, Lori, James, Stephen, and Randall). She also loved her two special friends, Wanda and Sylvia. Jody was a true animal lover and loved all of her cats and dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don and her brother, Woody Headrick
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Jody’s memory to The Salvation Army or the charity of your choice. The family would also like to give a special thank you to the staff at Keller Oaks Healthcare Center and the Hospice Care staff for their wonderful care and compassion for her.
