June Sloan Obituary
Barbara “June” Sloan, 81, of Merkel passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at her home. June was born August 9, 1939 in Abilene to Meridith and Nancy (Boydston) Terrell. She married Larry Sloan on July 5, 1957. June enjoyed canning and sewing. Survivors include her husband Larry Sloan; daughters Judy Whitehead (Jason), and Kay Dowling (John); son Jackie Sloan(Deborah); grandchildren Stephanie Devaney, Jason Devaney (Jayme), Justin Young(Megan), Kyle Sloan, and Jaimie Walker(Eric); nine great-grandchildren; and brother Wayne Terrell(Sue). June was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Sammy Terrell. Visitation will be held at Starbuck Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Stith Cemetery.
