Judith Wilson Obituary

In Memory of Judith Ann Wilson

On June 26, 2022 our most beloved Judith Ann Parker Wilson was called away to be with her Lord, to further illuminate Heaven as she has illuminated all of the many lives she has touched in her 81 blessed years of life.

Judy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and a devoted 3rd grade school teacher who genuinely cared for each and every student she taught. She was born on December 1, 1940 to Kenneth (Ira) and Ann Parker of Hamlin, TX. She graduated from Hamlin High, and then the University of North Texas in 1962 with a BS in education. Judy met the love of her life Don Wilson in college, and was married October 29, 1961 and they remained married for 61 happy years. Judy and Don have a son Parker Ray Wilson (born June 23, 1967) who lives in Houston, TX. Judy has one surviving grandchild Andrew Parker Wilson who lives in Denton, TX.

Judy loved sewing, cooking, reading, and gardening, but was best known for teaching 3rd grade at Merkel Elementary, and positively shaping her students’ lives and minds. Judy retired from teaching in 1996, and lived in Merkel, Texas with her loving husband Don Wilson, and was called away from our loving arms and hearts due to health challenges at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, TX.

She will be deeply missed by the many whose lives she touched. Rest easy in the arms of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and at the beautiful alter of eternity. Her pain is over, but ours will linger as we reflect on her life, and remember and cherish her goodness, and the many ways she has touched, and blessed all of our lives.

Judy was reunited in Heaven with her parents: Ira Kenneth Parker and Annie-Merle Ferguson Parker and father and mother-in-law: Raymond and Lucille Wilson.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband: Don Wilson; son and fiancé: Parker Wilson and Alicia Wilson; grandson: Andrew Wilson; brother: Dr. Ronald Parker and wife Yvonne: brother: Ben Neel and wife Barbara; brother: Keith Wilson and Mary Beth and loving cousins and their children.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5pm to 7pm, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Starbuck Funeral Chapel.
