Joe Adams Obituary

Joe Henry Adams, 78 years old, of Abilene, passed away on March 4, 2025 in Abilene, Texas.

Joe was born at Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene, Texas to Margaret and Joe Adams on Valentines Day, February 14, 1947. He went to school in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. He was a very popular guy in school and was also the funny kid in the class. He had a very high IQ and was amazing in math and solving puzzles. Joe was a patriot, he absolutely loved the USA. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Navy as a Seaman from 1964-1968. He was an ordained Minister of the Universal Life Church Ministries since 2021. He had an amazing work ethic throughout his entire life. He was a Jack-of-all-Trades and was everything from a carpenter to a car salesman. Joe’s taste in music was very eclectic, he loved to sing karaoke (and he was very good at it). He had an amazing sense of humor. He absolutely never backed down from a challenge, and he always fought hard for what he believed in. He was a loyal friend and made friends easily, but most of all, he loved God.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Joe Adams, his younger brother David Adams, his son Aaron Adams, and his beloved wife Patsy Adams.

Joe Henry is survived by his children Brandon Adams, Melisa Adams and James Wendt, Eric Adams, and Donna Adams-Whitehead. His brother Chris and wife Brenda Adams, and their two sons Daryl and Justin. His 13 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Kaylee, Chandi, Boe, Tianna, Noah, Matt, Krista, Lizzy, Sarah, Josh, Donovan and Don. Also, his 14 great-grandchildren: C.J., Kaia, Storm, Jasper A., Alec, Enzo, Jayden, Carmen, Ella, Rudy, Liam, Emry, Kiwi, and Jasper S.

The Adams family wishes to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Hendricks Hospice, for the amazing way they care for our Dad. They treated him like they would treat their own father. They were kind, considerate, and caring, and tended to him lovingly, and consistently. We wouldn’t have wished for better end of life care. Thank you, and God bless you all.

Also, a special thank you to all of Joe’s friends that came and spent time with him, I know it meant the world to him. We would like to give a heartfelt that you to Cory, Brittany, and staff at Starbuck Funeral Home. Corey has been so kind and helpful and he has made this difficult time for us so much easier, like help from a friend. So thank ya’ll!!
