JoAnn Daniel Obituary
JoAnn Lancelot Daniel, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at a local nursing home.
JoAnn was born to Harry B. and Mary Louise (Henson) Lancelot on November 9, 1925 in Osage County Oklahoma.
In 1942 she married the love of her life Eldon Moutray Daniel and together they had four children. The couple was married for over 60 years before his death in 2003.
By trade JoAnn was a bookkeeper, but her passion was her family. She enjoyed time with them, hearing their stories, and creating memories with them. JoAnn also enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her garden and flowers, knitting, crocheting, and especially playing bridge with her buddies.
JoAnn is survived by her children Eugene and wife Rhonda Daniel of Shreveport, LA, Freda and her husband Farris Neill of Merkel, TX, Bobbye and husband William Casner of Houston, TX and Leesa and husband Ken Lawrence of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Sarah and her husband Bob Brown of Bryan, TX.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00PM on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Starbuck Funeral Home in Merkel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, December 10, 2018 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Abilene.
