Jackie Leon Skiles, 83 years old, of Abilene, TX passed away on March 12,

2026 in Abilene, TX.

Jackie was born in Stamford, TX to Addie Mae Weems and Garland Jackson Skiles on February 17, 1943. He went to school at Baird, TX. He graduated from Baird Highschool. He married Debbie Wieldt on December 12, 2004 in Abilene, TX. He worked as a painter for Abilene State School for 28 years. He owned Hour Glass Club in Abilene, TX for 22 years.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents Addie Mae Weems and Garland Jackson Skiles. His wife Debbie Skiles. His son Ricky Skiles.

Jackie is survived by his daughter Brittney Wieldt of Dallas, TX. And three sons Jackie Leon Jr of Fort Worth, TX. JD Skiles of Abilene, TX. Tim Skiles of Abilene, TX. Sister in law- Toni McDonald of Aspermont, TX. Niece, Crystal Parks, Nephew, Cody McDonald and wife Lauren, Nephew Jeremy McDonald and wife Hilary. Niece  Amanda Ohlemacher and husband Toby. Several great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cody McDonald, Jeremy McDonald, Colton McDonald, Toby Ohlemacher, Bryan Ross, Ricky Carter.

Visitation will be held at 12:00pm to 2:00pm, March 16, 2026 at Starbuck Funeral Home in Merkel, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, March 16, 2026 at Starbuck Funeral Home with Roger Rister officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Starbuck Funeral Home.
