Jackie Langford, 84, of Abilene, Tx passed away on May 24, 2025 in Abilene, Tx.
Jackie was born in Knoxville, TN to A. Jackson Langford and Geneva Fieldman on July 3, 1940. He was also raised in John Tarleton Home in Knoxville, TN. He went to high school in Knoxville, TN until the 11th grade. He married Eva Fortune on June 25, 1959 in Abilene, Tx. He was a veteran from Dyess Air Force Base and served in the United States Air Force. He served for 3 years and 10 months at Dyess Air Force Base. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal for the 819th Air Division.
Jackie was preceded in death by his wife Eva Langford, daughter Paula Langford, mom Geneva Fieldman, dad A. Jackson Langford, sisters Jeanette Clark and Shirley Hammond and brother Ronald Taylor.
Jackie is survived by his son Michael Langford, son Jimmy Langford, daughter/granddaughter Angela Phillips. He also had 9 grandkids and 12 great grandkids.
Pallbearers will be Michael Langford, Steven Lindsey, Robert Rushford, Jason Phillips, Brayden Phillips and Angela Phillips.
Visitation for Jackie will be 12 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Monday, June 2, 2025 at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 2, 2025 at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Rister officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, Tx. Services are under the direction of Starbuck Funeral Home.
