Hazel Pauline Byrom

Hazel Pauline Byrom, 94, of Merkel passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Merkel Nursing Center. She was born March 14, 1927 in Hilsboro, Tennessee to Jesse and Bessie Howell. Hazel married the love of her life, Darwin Parker Byrom, August 27, 1955 and the two enjoyed many years of marriage until his death in 2019. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening, sewing, shopping, and reading. Hazel is survived by her daughter Kimberly Byrom Clement; son Mike Byrom; grandkids David, Casey, Hayley, Allie, Rebecca, and Colten; great-grandkids Kane, Able, Chloe, and Levi; her dear friend Dean; and her furry companion Charlotte. Hazel was preceded in death by her; husband, parents, two sisters, and her brother. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, December, 24, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Starbuck Funeral Home.
