Georgia Lee (Dawes) Myers

Georgia Lee (Dawes) Myers, age 54, passed from this life of Friday, January 21, 2022. She was born in Mountlake Terrace, WA to Rusty Dawes and Judy (Crawford) Dawes.  A visitation is scheduled from 6-8 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022 at Starbuck Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Broadview Baptist in Abilene with Pastor Wes Terry officiating.

Georgia worked at General Dynamics in the late 1980s and also worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Texas Boll Weevil until she became disabled in 2008 with a brain tumor. She married the love of her life, Mike Myers in July 8, 2000. Georgia was an animal lover and had rescued and rehomed many animals over the years. She loved her dogs dearly and found great comfort having them during her rehabilitation with a stroke and her brain tumor. Georgia was a fighter and although her time here on earth was all too brief, she was loved my many and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her husband: Mike Myers of Merkel; daughters: Chelsea Terry of Seminole, Taryn Myers of Wylie, TX and Alexis Myers of Merkel; brother: Greg Dawes of Abilene; sister: Patty Dawes of Molena, GA and grandchildren: Ryder Terry of Seminole.

Georgia is reunited in Heaven with her parents: Rusty and Judy.
