Mrs. Frankie Waddell, (81), of Abilene, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in Abilene.
Frankie was born at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Abilene, Texas to Howard and Jacqueline Simpson on October 12, 1942. She attended Travis grade school and graduated from Abilene High School. She also graduated from Abilene Beauty College and operated a salon in conjunction with her mother, Jacqueline.
She was happily married to Mr. Billie Waddell. She worked for Sam’s Club for approximately twenty years. Prior to that she worked for Wylie ISD for approximately twenty years. She was devoutly religious and regularly attended her local church.
Frankie was preceded in death by her husband Billie Waddell and her son Michael Don French.
Frankie is survived by her granddaughter Tammy “the Kidd” French, her cousin Dorothy Ann Wood.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, Texas. The service will be conducted by pastor David Allen.
Services are under the direction of Starbuck Family Funeral Home.
