Eva LaVearn Patrick Camp, 77, of Oroville, CA, and lately of Wichita Falls, TX, left Earth on June 8, 2023, in Wichita Falls, TX.
LaVearn was born in Waco, TX to Lester Cancelor Patrick and Evelyn Lucille Foster Patrick on September 5, 1945. She graduated from Laurelbrook Academy in Dayton, TN.
She married Charles Hardin Camp on January 25, 1968. She and her husband owned and operated Camp Trucking and Rigging in Giddings, TX, and later Camp Excavation in Austin TX.
LaVearn loved being a homemaker and participating in the lives of her two sons, actively participating in their sports, academic and personal pursuits.
She was president of the Young Homemakers Club in Thorndale, TX. LaVearn had a passion for animals and raised Great Danes and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. She thoroughly enjoyed working in her thriving vegetable garden from which she supplied many people with fresh vegetables and love throughout her life. She enthusiastically planted and grew beautiful roses and flowers in every available area in and around her home. She was passionate about exquisite jewelry. Everyone who knew her saw the grace and beauty that she created in her living space. It was her delight to cook and serve chef quality meals to family and friends. We will always remember her joyful laugh, her fabulous humor, her ability to tell stories and her loving care for people.
LaVearn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ralph Byron Patrick, Maurice Erwin Patrick, Melvin Morris Patrick, Dennis Earl Patrick and sisters Barbara Jean Edwards and Nola Gail Patrick.
LaVearn is survived by son Charles Hardin Camp ll and wife Amy, grandchildren Chase Camp, Camryn Camp, and Caden Camp from Round Rock, Texas, and son Austin Camp and wife Noela Stallings-Camp of Wichita Falls, Texas, brother Cyril Patrick and wife Patricia, sister Esther Verna Patrick Burchett and husband Roger Doyle Burchett, brother Ivan Clancy Patrick, sister-in-law Jean Patrick, nieces Doris Patrick Board, Marilyn Patrick Rindos, Shirley Patrick Bolfing, Terrie Jo Burchett Carman and husband Jacob Samuel Carman, Yolonda Hayes and husband Gareth, and nephew Buck Allen Burchett and wife Alexi Nicole Sistek Burchett, and longtime dear friends Harry “Pete” Wylie and Joanne Bilskie.
