Elizabeth "Lisa" Caldwell Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Caldwell, of Merkel, Texas, was born at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston on February 26, 1963, and went to be with Jesus and her beloved daughter Sierra on August 27, 2025, after a swift and courageous battle with cancer. She was a graduate of Merkel High School (1981) and Abilene Christian University (1987).

Lisa was a faithful Christian and a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She was a woman of unconditional love, especially devoted to her daughters Savannah and Sierra. She was a devoted wife to Glenn—her steadfast companion in life. She was also best friends with her parents, Lou David and Rhoda, and her sister Angie, cherishing a bond of love, laughter, and deep respect with them throughout her life.

She was known for her strong will and brilliant business mind. Her resilience carried her through life’s challenges, and her kindness and loyalty made her a source of strength for all who knew her.

Lisa found joy in the simple pleasures of life—casting a line on the water while fishing, beautifying her home with her unique eye for decorating, finding treasures at estate sales and thrift stores, and tending her garden with care and creativity.

She is survived by her loving husband Glenn Caldwell; her daughter, Savannah Murphy and husband Darrell; parents, Lou David and Rhoda Allen; sister, Angela Chaney and husband Greg; aunt Linda Cravens and husband Logan; her nieces, Chelsea Chismark and husband Ryan, and Chera Brooker and husband Sterling; and her cousin, Natalee Cravens.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sierra Brandt; her grandparents, Marge and Orzo (Shep) Sheppard, Stella (Ted) and A.B. Allen, and cousin Matt Cravens.

Lisa will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her dedication as a wife and mother, and her incredible resilience. Her life was a testimony of love, faith, and perseverance, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She now rests in the eternal hope of Christ, awaiting the resurrection and the promise of everlasting life.
