Dorothy Arnwine

Dorothy Arnwine, 97, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born January 12, 1924, in Eastland, Texas, to Dee and Bennis Barr. She married Durward Arnwine August 27, 1942, in Carson City, Nevada. They were married 56 years. He preceded her in death. Dorothy is survived by her four children: Paula Dudley and husband Larry of Merkel, Allan Arnwine and wife Genia of Roby, Susan Holland and husband Sam of Rockwall, and Greg Arnwine of Abilene. She had six grandchildren: Michele Proctor, James Arnwine, Chad Arnwine, Matthew Holland, Tyler Arnwine and Karly Arnwine. She also had six great-grandchildren. A graveside service is scheduled Monday, December 27th at 2:00pm at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rose Hill Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 218, Merkel, Texas 79536. Dorothy's family would like to thank the staff at Mesa Springs Retirement Center for the love and care provided their mother during the past year. They also want to thank Hendrick Hospice for the care they provided Dorothy.
