Doris Jo “Neno” (Cooper) Williamson, 91, made her transition on Saturday, December 3, 2022 to be with the Lord. She was born to Opal Harris Cooper and P.B. Cooper on August 27, 1931.
Doris graduated from Merkel High School in 1947. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the Sadler Clinic Hospital in Merkel, Texas until her marriage to W.H. Williamson on October 14, 1948. She went on to become an RN, working at the Sadler Clinic Hospital and then with many other doctors in the Merkel, Sweetwater, and Abilene areas.
Doris had two children, Debra and Randy. In later years she became a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to play the piano and sing, sew frilly dresses for her granddaughter, and get together with friends. She especially loved her extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
