Doris Faye Phillips, 66, passed away on July 4, 2026.
Doris was born March 25, 1960 to Don Murphy Lang and Jennye Huffman in Clovis, New Mexico. She went to school at Merkel and Coronado High School.
Throughout her life, she was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She worked as a warehouse employee for M.B. McKee in Lubbock, she distributed Lance snack products to warehouses throughout the Lubbock area. She was a proud member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Local Chapter 169, in Reno, Nevada. She also worked part-time for FedEx and was employed by Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. For more than 25 years, served as a Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS).
Doris is survived by her son Jimmy Joe Phillips Jr. and wife Christina M. of Lubbock, TX, and children Jaden L., CJ, and Trinity M.; daughter Stacy Ann Phillips-Lomeli of Reno, NV, and children Joseph Martinez, Rosalina Lomeli (St. Louis, MO), and Briana Lomeli; brother Dennis Lang and Sarah Egstad; stepbrother Darrel Kincaid and wife Catherine.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents Don Murphy Lang and Jennye Kincaid and brother Donald Lang.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hendrick Hospice in Abilene, Tx.
