Doris Nell (Gray) Fowler

Doris Nell (Gray) Fowler, age 86, went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 31, 2022 in Abilene, TX. She was born on January 2, 1936 in Telephone, TX to Martin Luther Gray and Nell (Morris) Gray.

Doris graduated from Monahans High School in 1954. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Bob Fowler and together they traveled the world. She was a caring and very kind person who enjoyed helping others. She was fun and love to travel with her sisters and had an amazing bond with them. She was a hard-working intelligent lady. Her laughter was contagious and her smile could make anyone feel special. Doris had a heart of gold and treated everyone equally, with love, regardless of their situation. She was a non-judgmental soul that never had a bad word for anyone she ever met. She will be terribly missed by all. 

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her daughter: Tamra Fowler Gilmore Seitz of Magnolia, TX; three sisters: Martha Keepers of Amarillo, TX, Donna Blessing of Pflugerville, TX; and Linda Hughes of Round Rock, TX; two grandchildren: Justin N. Gilmore and Brandon Gilmore; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Bill and Barbara Fowler of Merkel; and her very special friend who cared and helped her until her passing: JoAnn Cedillo. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Bob Fowler. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Starbuck Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Estes officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Starbuck Funeral Home.
