Donald Crouch

Donald “Don” James Crouch, 50, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 10, 1969 to Thomas Glynn Crouch and Edith Pauline Nelson in Eastland, Texas. Don enlisted in the United States Army in 1987 and faithfully served his country until 1996. During this time Don was stationed at Ft. Polk, Louisiana; Bad Hersfeld, Germany; Ft. Bliss, El Paso, Texas; and Budingen/Hanau, Germany. Don moved to Trent in 2010 where he began working for Windstream. He became known as “Don The Windstream Guy” While enlisted Don met the love of his life Astrid Nieding. The two married on Valentine’s day in 1992 and spent 27 years of marriage together. Don is survived by his wife Astrid Crouch; daughter Brittany Crouch; son Brian Crouch; mother Edith Sorrell; half-sister Darlene Meador; step-mother Nita Crouch; stepsisters Masonya White, Tammy Click and Cherie Cause; mother-in-law Elisabeth Nieding; sister-in-law Claudia Weber; and numerous other family members. Don was preceded in death by his Father Thomas Glynn Crouch and his step-father Leslie Frances Sorrell. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery at Abilene under the directions of Starbuck Funeral Home.
