Dollye Fern Reddin, 91, of Merkel, TX, passed away on August 15, 2025 in Merkel.
Dollye was born in Vernon, TX to V.A. and Maurine Liner on June 3, 1934. She attended school at Anson and Merkel. She graduated from Merkel High School. She married Charles Reddin on December 9,1952 in Abilene, TX. She worked at various jobs through the years. Most notably at Carson's Supermarket in Merkel and Elmo Moore Trucking in Tye. She was very proud of her time spent as a 4-H parent and being a founding board member of S.U.N. Water Corp.
Dollye’s faith was steadfast through the years. She attended First Baptist Church in Stith and Merkel, Cowboy Church and Builders Baptist church.
Dollye was preceded in death by her husband Charles Reddin, her parents V.A. and Maurine Liner, stepmother Elnor Liner. Her brother A.T. Liner and wife Jo, brother James Liner and wife Jeanie, brother Gerald Liner, sister Betty Maserang and husband Charles, infant sister Billie Faye Liner, son in law Gary Love, in-laws Howard and Mary Reddin, Joanne Fikes, Chester Fikes, Bill Goode, Jerry West.
Dollye is survived by daughters Mary Jo Love and Vickie L Samford, sons Les Reddin and wife Pat, Lee Reddin and wife Vicki G, Michael Reddin and wife Gina. Granddaughters Amanda, Ashley, Hailey, Amber, Emily, Briana. Grandsons Jason, Ryan, Hunter, Bryce, Blake, Marshall, Morgan. Great grandchildren Zabryna, Kelly, Ginger, Avery, Anna, Adison, Jaxon, Roslyn, Harlyn, Zealand, Nicolette, Natalia, Everly, Elorah, Linkin and Great Great granddaughter Avaeyah.
A celebration of life will be held at the Merkel Nursing Center, 1704 N 1 st St, Merkel, TX. on Friday, August 29, from 4 to 6 PM.
Interment at the Texas Veterans Cemetery will be held privately.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Big Country or Texas Veterans Cemetery. The family of Dollye Reddin extends our sincere gratitude to the staff at Merkel Nursing
