Debra Joy

Debra Caffey Joy, 70, entered her heavenly home on January 31st, 2025.

She was born on December 22, 1954 in Abilene, Texas to Burt Richard Caffey and Oretha Fay Caffey.

Debra graduated high school from Abilene High School and attended McMurray University, where she studied botany and later had her own business where she was the graphic arts director.

Debra loved her family and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, her son Dylan Joy, her paternal grandparents, Hyram Turner and Lillie Pearl Caffey, and her maternal grandparents, F.E. and Sarah Sipe.

She is survived by her brothers, Dennis Caffey of Reno, Nevada and Brad Caffey of St. Petersburg, FL, also one niece Amelia Caffey of St. Petersburg, FL, along with numerous cousins.

Arrangements are pending at Starbuck Funeral Home in Merkel, Texas. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Trent Cemetery, in Trent, Texas.
