David Burnaman "Dave" Massey

David Burnaman “Dave” Massey, of Merkel, TX, passed on Tuesday October 12, 2021. He was 66. He was born on December 19, 1954 in Keokuk, Iowa. He passed peaceful in his home. He graduated from Abilene High class of 1974. He was married to the love of his life, Violet Massey. They together had 3 children, Angel Cisernos (John) of Merkel, Texas, Jim Massey (Amy) of Cisco, Texas and David Massey (Amber) of Abilene, Texas. He had 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 

He is survived by one brother: Lee Massey (Nita) and two sisters: Teresa Stamper and Terina Chapman (Larry), along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents: Tiny and Rachel Massey; his wife: Violet Massey and his brother: Jim Massey.

A Memorial service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday October 23, 2021 at Second Baptist Church (901 Victoria St. Abilene, TX 79603).
