Darline Marie Williams

Darline Marie Williams, 77, passed away surrounded by her loved ones, Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the local hospital in Abilene, Texas.

Darline was born October 1, 1945 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Asa and Letha (Yarnell) Bohrer. She graduated from Erie High School in May 1963. Darline married J.W. Williams on October 3, 1963. Her main occupation was a caregiver; she loved to help people and to spend time with her kids and grandkids. She loved be surrounded by family and friends, and to drive across town to spend an afternoon with a very special friend of hers, Roxie Williams, who she had been friends with for a very long time.

Survivors include her daughters: Twila Webb of Merkel, Judy Williams of Abilene, and daughter-in-law Maria Williams. Grandchildren: Jonathan Williams of Abilene, Erica and husband Louis Brown of Abilene, Ryan and wife Britney Williams of Merkel, Brittany and husband Tyler Bell of Montalba, Texas, Megan Webb, Jaycee Propst, and Gunner Web of Merkel. Great-grandchildren: Emerson, Cainleigh, Elijah, Aiyana, Kyra, Kimberlee, Christian, Wesley, Audrey, Maddy, Karliegh, Lynleigh, and Hunter.

Darline is preceded in death by: her parents Asa and Letha, husband J.W. Williams, son Jay Williams, son-in-law Dennis Webb, great-grandson Kayson Lee Williams, and many more loved ones.

Pallbearers will be: Ryan Williams, Gunner Webb, Louis Brown, Ryan Link, Arron Hamby, Rodney Russell, Tucker Davis, and Louie Ross.

Viewing will be held at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 5 – 7 PM. Services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Merkel, burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Starbuck Funeral Home.
