Christopher Lance Adkins

Christopher Lance Adkins, 42, of Merkel, TX, formally of Sweetwater, TX, passed away July 1, 2023 and Hendrick Hospice Care after a life long illness. Chris was born September 22, 1980 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Trina Adkins and Lance Fielder.

Chris was known to be a funny and resilient guy by his family. He was also known as a fighter since the day he was born, and he fought hard till the very end. Chris loved music, games, and family, but most of all he loved his children. His contagious laugh and sarcasm will be missed by many.

Chris is survived by his mother, Trina Gentry of Merkel, TX; one son: Braxton Adkins; two daughters: Braelyn and Brazley Adkins all of Merkel. Three brothers: Matt Adkins and wife Reta of Abilene, Brad Adkins and wife Kat of Sweetwater, Ryan Adkins and wife Jade of Nolan; three nieces, two nephews, two uncles, and three aunts and several cousins.

Chris is preceded in death by his father: Lance Fielder, grandparents: Collis and Geneva Adkins.

The family will be having a private memorial service for Chris at a later date. Also, the family would like to send a special Thank You to Hendrick Hospice Care.
