Carmen Barcuch

Carmen Barcuch, 63, of Merkel, TX passed away on August 28, 2024 at Hendrick Hospice. Carmen was born in Frankfurt, Germany to Horst and Erika Droege on March 19, 1961.

She went to school in Dietzenbach, Germany and graduated high school in 1979. She married David Barcuch on October 28, 1983 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. She worked for Walls Industries for 15 years. After that she started working for Prosperity Bank for 9 years.

Carmen is survived by her husband David; parents Horst and Erika Droege; her brother Horst Jr. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel in Merkel, TX. on September 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Kalla of Abilene Oncology and Dr. Cloven of Ft. Worth Oncology. Also, the family would like to thank Hendrick Hospice nurses for their patience and understanding. They went above and beyond to take care of Carmen and David.
