Bobby Tutt Obituary

Bobby Joe Tutt, 64, of Merkel, TX went to be with our Savior and Lord on February 9, 2026 in his home in Merkel.  He was born to Thomas and Callie Mae Tutt on November 25, 1961 in Merkel, TX.  One of ten children.  He attended Abilene public schools. Later in life he married a long time family friend who was the love of his life, Rebecca Ann Williams on November 25, 1984 in Abilene, TX.  Bobby and Rebecca had seen each other at many family gatherings over the years, both quiet and reserved not knowing that God had a plan for them to be life long best friends and the one and only for each of them to spend the rest of their lives with.  Bobby and Rebecca did not disappoint the Lord.  They followed his plan and were inseparable.  It was a very rare occasion to see one without the other.

Bobby left the education world and started his career in the “real world" as a tool pusher for the oil industry.  He worked in the oil field on rigs for many many years.

After the years on the oil rig, Bobby wanted a change of scenery and pace.  He and his wife , Rebecca opened up a carpet cleaning business. King Tutt Cleaners came into existence and they had many clients that they service.  They also got into cleaning houses.  During this time they were able to acquire several houses.  They remodeled houses to rent and even at times just handed the deed over to renters because of the need.  He was very giving and caring. He always put the Lord first, Rebecca second and everyone next to leave himself the very last.

Bobby was a devoted baptized believer and a doer of God’s word.  He studied the bible religiously. While reading he learned of the service that God wants us to do and following his word he always helped others.  Everyone he could.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Tutt, four sisters, Cindy, Christine, Jacqueline, and Ina and one step-son Mark Burrell.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Rebecca, 2 step-daughters Amber Williams of Merkel, TX and Latisha Walker of Savannah, Georgia.  An adopted son, Jamal Turner.  Sisters, Loretta Early (Frankie) Cassandra Tutt and brother Otis Dean Tutt all of Abilene, TX .  He also has brothers Thomas Tutt of Austin, TX and Mark Tutt of Temple, TX. A sister, Fina Mae Jackson of Littlerock, Arkansas. His wonderful mother, Callie Mae Tutt of Abilene, TX. Five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  Numerous Aunts, cousins and friends.  He had gotten very close to his mother in law, Lilly Williams.

Pallbearers will be: Charles Thompson, Donnie Tutt, Michael Tutt, Ronnie Williams, Bobby Joe Early and Michael Williams
