Blair Wayne Alderson

Blair Wayne Alderson, 76, of Merkel passed away at home on August 13, 2020. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 3, 1943 to Carey Blair and Gertrude Mae (Cogburn) Alderson. He married the love of his life Anna Noble September 25, 1970, and they enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage together. Blair served his country honorably as a member of United States Navy, and worked for the City of Abilene as the Water Treatment Plant Supervisor. Blair enjoyed being outdoors camping, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed woodwork, leather work and astronomy. He also enjoyed fixing thing and could fix anything. Blair is survived by his loving wife Anna Alderson; his children Carey, Cristi, and Brian; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Blair is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Pat Ford and his brother Hugh Alderson. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Belle Plains Cemetery in Callahan County under the direction of Starbuck Funeral Home.
