Beverly Lee McGaugh

Beverly Lee McGaugh,65, of Merkel was surrounded by family as she went to her heavenly home on Friday, May 14, 2021. Beverly was born on May 8, 1956 to Herby Lee Lewellen and Ann Carroll Culbreath on Goodfellow Air Base in San Angelo, TX. Beverly spent her young childhood with her father in San Angelo, until his untimely passing when she was just 11 years old. After her father’s passing Beverly move to Frisco, TX with her mom Ann and stepdad, Bill Weston, who raised and loved her dearly. Beverly graduated from Frisco High school in 1974, where she met and married Richard McGaugh. Beverly had three children, Scott, Lucas, and Brittany. Beverly spent most of her life as a daycare teacher. She worked at Little Red School house in Huntsville, TX for 20 years. Beverly moved to Merkel and continued to love and care for several sweet babies. She worked at Badger Den Daycare, Frist Baptist Church Nursey and privately with a few families. Any kid that met Beverly adored her as much as she did them. Other than taking care of kids Beverly had a great passion for Elvis Presley, Dallas Cowboys, wrestling, and coke zero but not necessarily in that order. You could always drive by Beverly’s house and find her sitting outside enjoying the nice weather and people watching. One of her favorite spots of all time was her sister’s house on the swing under the pecan tree. Beverly is proceeded in death by her mother, father, stepdad, and beloved dog Rosie. Beverly is survived by her three children: Scott, Lucas, Brittany, and their spouses along with her seven grandchildren. Stepmom Virginia Weston; her sister Debbie Barker, husband James; brother Charles Weston, wife Maritza. Beverly leaves behind several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many dear friends.
