Alice Faye (Morris) Chacon

Alice Faye Chacon, “Bugsie,” 76, passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 in Abilene, Texas with family by her side.  She was born November 20th, 1945 in Merkel, Texas to Amos and Ella (Walters) Morris.  She was the 7th child of 12 children.  She lived in Trent, Texas her whole life where she had various jobs and ultimately became an LVN for 12 years at The Oaks at Radford Hills in Abilene, Texas.

Alice absolutely adored and unconditionally loved her husband Juvenal Chacon and married in July of 1984.  She knew without a doubt that he would be there for her every need.  She was always young at heart, and she loved to go camping, going to the lake, dancing, and going swimming.  During the summers she made sure that the kids did not miss the waterpark and she always made sure that her kids were involved in everything that she did.  Alice valued using her hands and imagination to come up with designs for her next projects. She loved to woodwork and remodel houses. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and she adored her grandkids, and they always had a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her husband: Juvenal Chacon, her daughter: Judy and (Randy) Godsey, her sons: Roger and (Jennifer) Brenem and Eric and (Rebecca) Chacon; her 5 grandkids Tiffany Cooper, Blake Halliburton, Hailey Brenem, Ella Chacon, and Eli Chacon; her 7 great grandkids; and Rudy the family dog.  Alice was also survived by her sister: Annie-Mae Brenem and brothers: Clifton and (Kay) Morris, Larry and (Debbie) Morris, Gary Lynn and (Sheila) Morris, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 She was preceded in death by her parents Amos and Ella Morris; sisters: Lena, Joyce, Jean, Rosie Nell, and Brenda; and her brothers: Stanley and David Morris.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at Starbuck Funeral Home in Merkel, Texas. Services will be Thursday, June 16th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial at Trent Cemetery in Trent. TX.
