Adolfo Ruiz Montoya

Adolfo Montoya, 21, of Merkel passed away at his residence on December 12, 2021. He was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico on November 8, 2000 to Jose Montoya and Mayra Del Rosal. Adolfo attended Merkel Schools and graduated from Merkel High School. Adolfo enjoyed photography, drawing, and watching documentaries about animals. Adolfo is survived by his mother Mayra Del Rosal and her husband Domingo; father Jose Luis Montoya; sister Jade Del Rosal; brother Oscar Montoya; grandmother Luz Lopez; aunt Martha Ruiz; and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Adolfo Ruiz Franco, and great-grandfather Jose Lopez. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Starbuck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at Starbuck Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel.
