Martina Knight Obituary
Martina Knight, 50, of Merkel passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019. She was born May13, 1968 in Heidelberg, Germany to Jesus "Jesse" and Gudrun "Gudy" (Linder) Moreno.
Martina graduated from Merkel High School in 1986. She married Kelly Knight on September 14, 1991. Martina's hobbies included watching movies and listening to U2. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Kailynn.
She is survived by her husband Kelly Knight of Merkel; son Eric Salsberry of Merkel; granddaughter Kailynn of Merkel; parents Jesus (Jesse) and Gudrun (Gudy) Moreno of Merkel; brother Robert and his wife Tina Moreno of san Leon; nephews Justin Knight and his husband Landon Knight of Denver, Colorado, Jerrad Knight and his wife Lisa and their daughter London of san Angelo, Robert Moreno Jr. and his wife Lorena and their children Christian and Mason of League City; niece Kendra Moreno and husband Rodrigo Covaso and their son Jarvis Covaso; uncles Ramone Moreno and his wife Lisa of Merkel, and Mario Moreno of Abilene; aunts Venita Spellman and her husband Jerry of Benbrook, and Wanda Knight of San Angelo.
She was preceded in death by her brother Michael "Mitch" Moreno.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00Pm on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Starbuck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Starbuck Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
