Lois Mae Hamm

Lois Mae Hamm, 97, of Merkel went to be with her Savior on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Lois was born April 25, 1922 to Monroe and Myrtle (Reeves) Whisenhunt in Dora, Taylor County, Texas.  She resided in Taylor County her entire life.  She married Ted Hamm on February 18, 1939.

Lois is survived by two nieces Katrina Doggett, and Joan Cullins and her husband Mason, and two nephews Gary Hill and Bruce Hill.  Lois is also survived by Rayanne Carlock, Marilyn Adams, Jayne Kidd and husband Desmond of Austin.

The love of her life is Ricky Minze whom she has loved as her son since he was six years old.  Lois is survived by Ricky's family including Ricky and his wife Cecelia, and Cody and wife Molly Minze as well as Ace and Luke.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, brother J.B. Whisenhunt, niece Karen Whisenhunt and a very good friend Tressie Lucas.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Starbuck Funeral Home on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 1:00-2:00PM.  Funeral services will follow beginning at 2:00PM.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
